Woosong University Short-Form Video Contest

Woosong University successfully hosted the Short-Form Video Contest, a vibrant event celebrating creativity and storytelling. The competition brought together talented students from various programs, fostering innovation and collaboration.


Competition Period:
The video submission period ran from November 18 to December 13, 2024, during which 67 students from 19 different countries submitted 70 outstanding short-form videos.



Congratulations to Doha Elbarki, a talented student from SolBridge International School of Business representing France! Doha earned an impressive 192 out of 200 points, securing the 1st Place in the

competition. She was awarded a prize of 500,000 KRWalong with a prestigious certificate in recognition of her outstanding achievement.

We are delighted to announce that the Second Placeaward was shared by Simki Islam from Bangladesh and

Nurgaisha Abishfrom Kazakhstan, both talented students of the Global Media Department

Their exceptional creativity and storytelling skills earned them an impressive 189 points out of 200. Each winner

received a certificate of achievement and a prize of 200,000 KRW.

The Third Place awards were presented to:

  • Merey Amanova from Kazakhstan, representing the Global Media Department
  • Hartono Fransiskus from Indonesia, representing SolBridge International School of Business
  • Carmeline Sofie Susanto from Indonesia, representing the Culinary Arts Department

Each of these talented individuals impressed the judges with their creativity and storytelling. They were awarded a prize of 100,000 KRWalong with a certificate to honor their achievement. Congratulations to our Third Place winners!

The prize-giving ceremony was a grand finale to the Short-Form Video Contest, graced by the presence of distinguished guests and vibrant audience participation.

President Deog-Seong Oh of Woosong University delivered an inspiring speech, applauding the creativity and diversity showcased throughout the competition. The event was further honored by the presence of Dean Yoo-Taek Lee from Endicott, Dean Spencer H.J. Shim of International Affairs, and several esteemed professors, including Professor Kwangil Ko, who also served as a judge.

The ceremony was expertly hosted by Professor Rezia Usman, whose energy and enthusiasm kept the audience engaged. The entire program was meticulously organized by the Foreign Students Support Team, whose efforts ensured the event's success.

The final ceremony saw a large and lively audience in attendance. As a token of appreciation, all audience members received a small gift, adding a special touch to this memorable occasion.

The Short-Form Video Contest was not just a competition but a celebration of creativity, diversity, and global camaraderie. Thank you to everyone who participated, contributed, and made this event truly unforgettable.
