Annual Student Event

  • Administrator (General Student Council): The inauguration ceremony of the General Student Council in March (participation in the director-general of international students, etc.)
  • Administrator (General Student Council): Freshmen contest in April (International students’ participation, singing and dance)
  • Administrator (General Student Council): "Mentor Mentee" Intercultural exchange network organized by the international student body of the student council (10 Korean students + 10 international students)
    • Support for snacks, gifticons, beverage gift certificates, etc. when carrying out missions according to the topic of the meeting.
  • Administrator (Student Welfare Center): League for the presidential football competition from March to May (Solbridge participates separately, international students participate in the department (major) included)
  • Administrator (General Student Council): "Enrolled students' dinner support event" (Encouragement during regular and occasional evaluation periods / April, May, October, and December 4 times a year)
    • About 10,000 won per person for convenience food, including volunteer workers and international students, given to about 300 people.
    • "Snack support event for students" (Encouragement during regular and occasional exam periods)
    • Based on 2,500 won per person for coffee and beverages, given to about 400 people, including international students
  • Administrator (General Student Council): "Sports Day Festival in May" (SolBridge participate separately, international students’ participation is included by departments (major)) "Teacher's Day Celebration in May" alongside Sports day Festival (in attendance of international students)
  • Administrator: In-school volunteer service 6 times a year "Sol green Campus Campaign" (Environmental maintenance and hidden camera inspection) in the participation of student representatives and international student
  • International Student Support Team: Participate in sports competitions for international students from 10 universities in Daejeon (five events, including group jump rope and jegichagi)
  • International Student Support Team: "DaDaDa Festival" Cultural Experience and Singing Contest in participation of multicultural families and International Students in Dong-gu (Dong-gu Multicultural Center)
    • About 100 international students from 10 countries participate every year
  • Administrator (Student Welfare Center): "Woosong Academic Competitions and Exhibitions" Participation centered on the student council of each department Participation centered on the student council of each department from September to December
    • International students from different departments also participate in events to showcase their works
  • Administrator (General Student Council): Organized by the International Student Body of the Students' Council, "Autumn (Chuseok) Festival Event" Cultural Experience (Making holiday foods such as rice cakes and dumplings, etc.)
    • Intercultural exchange network of 40 people, including Korean student volunteers and international student.
  • Holiday event: twice a year for Lunar New Year and Chuseok special snacks (tteok and other snacks with a budget of 10,000 won per person for international students living in the dormitory)
  • International Student Support Team: "Cultural Experience" with a budget/price of 30,000KRW per person, number of participants differ by programs (around 30~60 people) *Currently suspended due to COVID-19
  • Administrator (General Student Council): "Woosong Festival" University Festival in October; Includes: various culture, food, singing contest, guest star, etc.
  • administrator (Social Service Corps): About 10 to 20 international students attended events such as "Making Kimchi of Love" and "Delivering Briquettes of Love" in December
    * In addition, other confirmation such as Solbridge's "Culture Day" and "Culture Camp Experience" are required.

Major Student Events

Sports Day
  • Qualifying in April every year (football, foot volleyball, kickball, relay race, tug-of-war, etc.)
    • Solbridge will participate separately, international students’ participation is included by departments (major)
  • "Woosong Sports Day" and "Teacher's Day Event" in May every year
    • All departments (major) and SolBridge register their athletes alongside carnation preparation event Celebrating Teachers' Day, including foreign professors, singing songs and attaching carnations.

Participation in volunteer work
