In the case of an on-campus internship, there is no applicable matter related to the recognition of credits for participating in international students' internships. In the case of international students, full-time internships that are recognized as credits are not operated, and the reasons are as follows.

  • Undergraduate international students are not allowed to have full-time internships on campus.
    • Overview: In September 2020, the competent immigration office will conduct an in-school internship course for undergraduate students (unelected lectures & credit recognition, on-site work) consider it as illegal employment
    • Students participating in undergraduate internships raise questions about immigration officials in the process of visa renewal to graduate school after undergraduate graduation.
    • Conclusion: The immigration office determined that the university illegally hired workers by utilizing international visas for undergraduate international students. In the future, if the same issue occurs, the cancellation of the international student visa and the imposition of fines and penalties on universities will be issued.
  • University Response Plan
    • The term internship is prohibited for international student workers (very sensitive to the term at the immigration office, and 'intern' is worker's nature↑)
    • Operated in the form of volunteer work scholarship students (undergraduate and graduate school as a whole)
    • Students who take weekly classes other than graduate students who have lectures opened at night are only allowed to work during the hours excluding the relevant class hours (For undergraduates, it operates for up to 20 hours)
