1. Human Rights: Types of Human Rights Violations
  • Human rights violations caused by discrimination:
    • Discrimination based on gender, age, gender identity, marital status, physical conditions, etc. /-Discrimination based on religion, thought or political opinion /-Discrimination based on social status, educational background, disability, family situation, medical history, etc
    • Discrimination based on region of origin, country of origin, race of origin, and skin color.
  • Human rights violations that limit the right to freedom
    • Interference with personal life, communication, and personal information. -Restricting the right to act according to religion, belief, conscience, and express opinions freely. -Restricting the right to vote and to be elected
    • Ignoring procedural rights in disciplinary action, etc
  • Violations of human rights by violence
    • Acts that inflict physical violence such as collusion, corporal punishment, harsh acts, and beatings / -Acts that inflict verbal violence such as verbal abuse, abusive language, and insults / -Acts that force people to drink alcohol at a drinking place or force them not to go home.
  • Human rights violations that do not guarantee the right to education or labor.
    • Acts that infringe on the right to receive education safely and appropriately /-Acts that do not pay adequate labor compensation or pay less than the minimum wage.
2. Types of sexual harassment (Article 3, Subparagraph 2 of the Framework Act on Gender Equality)
  • Physical sexual harassment: The act of causing sexual humiliation or disgust to the victim by physically contacting or touching a certain body part regardless of the other person's intention.
  • Verbal sexual harassment: the act of saying obscene and offensive things, making sexual comparisons or evaluations of appearance, or burying or disseminating sexual privacy regardless of the other person's intention.
  • Visual sexual harassment: the act of causing sexual disgust or discomfort through actions that can be perceived by the eye regardless of the other person's intention.
  • Other sexual harassment: language or behavior that is recognized as causing sexual humiliation or disgust in social conventions.
  • Dating violence is physical, emotional, verbal, economic, and sexual violence that occurs in a relationship with a crush or a like and includes the act of monitoring or controlling the behavior of the other person through direct or indirect violence.
  • Stalking: An act that causes anxiety or fear to the other person by relentlessly bullying mentally or physically against the other person's will without justifiable reason
  • Cyber Sexual Violence: Threatening or bullying the other party in relation to sexual problems on the Internet. Includes acts such as delivering pornographic messages and spreading pornography.

Consultation Details
  • Personal counseling: Counselors and clients meet one-on-one to solve various current psychological problems, including current emotional problems, interpersonal problems, behavior and habit problems, sex and reason problems, and academic and career problems, as well as to enhance self-understanding. Our counseling center is open at any time. The contents of the consultation are confidential.
  • Type of counseling: - Contents related to personality and interpersonal relationships / - Contents related to emotional and family problems / - Contents related to school adjustment and study / - Contents related to career and employment / - Contents related to sexual counseling and sexual counseling.
  • Group Counseling: Group counseling is counseling in which two or more people with similar interests gather to form an honest relationship and talk about various personal problems and interpersonal relationships to help everyone grow.
  • Application Method:· In-person application : Visit the student Counseling Center (W16, Room 304) → Select a topic and fill out an application form → Consultation proceeds

International Student Support Team (Counseling)

Consultation Details
  • Basic counseling (freshmen counseling, questionnaire, etc.) is conducted at the Solbridge Counseling Center
  • If personal information, treatment, and intensive counseling are needed, the student counseling center can provide employment counseling for English counselors and external hospital counters.
  • All international students, including international student support teams, Solbridge, and SIS, enter the results of counseling for new students into the category of international students in the university information system (using cumulative data when continuing) and linking human rights centers and student counseling centers.
