The Daejeon Yeonjeong Municipal Korean Music Institute has been contributing to strengthening the foundation of Korean music by holding a variety of various Korean music performances almost more than 100 times a year. It has also opened a Korean music class for the public. The institute makes its 12,000 books and 3,000 musical records accessible to the citizens to support the research and development of Korean music. It has been grown into a cradle of Korean music. The Music Institute especially, promotes traditional Korean music by offering live performances overseas in the U.S., Japan, France, Australia, and China, to globalize Korean traditional music.

The Daejeon Arts Center has two stories under the ground and three stories above the ground. It is comprised of the Art Hall, Ensemble Hall, Convention Hall, and Amphitheater.
